Can you see Chinese characters in rxvt window? If no, your rxvt has problems. You should fix it first. And, in CLE default, the xcin main window will not pop up by default. It is hiddened. If you does not like this, you could change the setting of xcinrc: (define XCIN_HIDE "NO") The xcinrc should be found in /etc/chinese/....
