: Appologies for writing in english :| : : I saw someone mention utf-8 support being worked on in xcin. : : This would be very useful for the support of non-chinese languages as : well, such as japanese and korean - giving a good multi-language XIM : support - since the configuration files seem flexible enough to handle : it. : : If I can help, please email me. : : Brian Spilsbury. Yes, I am working on this, but the progress is not fast. Because we have a lot of projects to do. Actually, I personal goal is to make xcin to be completely encoding independent. I hope that its main program could handle any kinds of encoding, but not just big5, gb, or utf-8. The encoding dependent part will be separated out to form a set of character set module. So adding an encoding support is as easy as adding a new module and plug it in. I am working on this basic design of the module structer. I hope that when it is completed, the utf-8 support will be very easy to implement. T.H.Hsieh To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@linux.org.tw with "unsubscribe xcin" in the body of the message
